Monica S. Padula, Ph.D, LISW-S, IMFT, BCD
The passion to empower couples and families emerged early in Dr. Padula’s career. She believes relationships are the foundational bricks of how we are molded and shaped as human beings. The building of healthy, lasting relationships is based on how we were raised, the influences of our environments as we grew and evolved, and the realities of all the systems that have surrounded us. Her influence derived from being raised in a large, ethnic family that was built on strong values, hard work, commitment, and loyalty to the relationships that intertwined her. Dr. Padula deeply respects and honors the courage it takes for clients to invite therapists into their lives to hear their stories and to encourage their hopes and dreams.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Padula has found that relying on a single model or method when working with couples and families can keep them stuck in repetitive patterns, prolong therapy unnecessarily, or cause old dynamics to resurface. She has a uniquely design method of practice that integrates Systemic Family therapy, Brief-Solution Focused therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and Mind-Body therapy that have been highly effective over the years. This creative, innovative and transformative method has proven to revolutionize relationships, make marriage matter, and foster family functioning.
Dr. Padula holds a PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy, as well as met the rigorous standards in education, training and expertise to be awarded the highest level of certifications as a Clinical Fellow Diplomate and Board Certified Diplomate in her fields of practice.
Dr. Padula embraces bringing a light-hearted demeanor and infuses her sense of humor into the sessions. Through a reality based, collaborative and compassionate lens, she invites individuals, couples and families to generate a safe space to break free from the old, limited narratives. She empowers clients to face life’s complexities, co-create innovative solutions and develop the resilience and confidence necessary for true transformation.
